TARUN KALITA, is one of the senior disciples of Pt Buddhadev Dasgupta, the great sarod maestro and musicologist of Sahajanpur Gharana. Tarun Kalita has been practicing Sarod since 1987. His recitals had been acclaimed for his command over the instrument and soulful rendering and elucidation of the sound-smell and colours of the Raag he played. He has faith in limpidness of raga and his idiosyncratic style of playing come into sight from ground-breaking amalgamation of Rababi Ang and Veenkar Ang. Tarun Kalita is shouldering the inimitable tradition of his gharana which is distinguished for assortment of BOL-VANI.
