Mrs. Manikuntala Sen is a well known name in the world of vocal Hindustani Classical Music. The artist started her musical career at the tender age of five when she started her initial training under the legendary classical vocal maestro Ustad Gopeswar Bandopadhyay of Bishnupur Gharana. Her never ending passion for musical creativity which started then continues till date marked by an illustrious musical career.
She is a disciple of Mrs. Malabika Kanan and Pandit A. T. Kanan. She had also taken taalim for a long time from Dr. Amiya Ranjan Banerjee and Pandit Sukumar Mitra. In her musical journey she was inspired and guided by the genius Pandit Nikhil Banerjee from her childhood. She has made many memorable public performances in Khayal and Bhajan in Kolkata at various music conferences as - Bahadur Khan Music Conference, Sudhir Sangeet Sammelan Geeta Jayanti and many more.
Her voice has also crossed the Indian shores and reached as far as Canada where she performed in Art festival of India organised by Raga Mala where she received high appreciation from music lovers. She has been performing consistently for the past two years in ETV
