Dhrupad vocal Raga Bilaskhani Todi by Gundecha Brothers
DHRUPAD SANSTHAN: The Dhrupad Sansthan(An Institute of Dhrupad)in Bhopal, founded by Gundecha brothers,aspire to promote and preserve the heritage of the Indian Classical form Dhrupad music through the "Guru-Shishya Parampara". This is an ancient traditional of musical education where the students devote their lives to learn from there gurus. The students will be nurtured and groomed to become accomplished performers.This gurukul is the first of its kind in India where up to 10 deswerving students recieve free musical education for four years which include tution,lodging and boarding.The institute has an archive (Audio,Video, and Books) to facilitate research on dhrupad. The institute is built on a 3 acre land in Suraj Nagar,a village about five kilometers away from Bhopal city.Donations may be sent in the name of 'Dhrupad Sansthan Nyas Bhopal'.The institute is a registered trust(No.01 dated 5 nov,1999) under M.P. Public Trust Act,1953.
