Vidisha Mukherjee,an M.A. in music from S.N.D.T university,
Mumbai and a business executive in a world famous multi-
national company derived the musical legacy from her
mother Chandralekha Banerjee at a ver tender age,later she
recieved the guidance in vocal music from Vidushi Savitri
Devi at NewDelhi for six years,subsequently she was groomed
under her mother Smt.Chandralekha Banerjee,Vidisha also
learnt volin under shri Arun Dahanukar,a senior disciple of
Pandit D.K.Datar at mumbai for sometime.She is proficient in
not only in khayal singing but also in Thumri,Dadra,Kajri
and
other light classical idioms.She is perhaps one of the few
Tappa singers in young and upcoming classical vocalist
