Swapan Bhattacharya was born in a Brahmin family in Calcutta. For the last 18 years he has been working all around the world with many international musicians. He performed with the top indian artists in Europe and North Africa. Besides his successful workshops in universities he has performed in TV and Radio (RTL, NDR)
Now, he is busy by presenting his great work (Tabla Orchestra) by students from International arena. There is documentry film (Sur & Laya) based on his musical career. He has perfomed in many notable concerts around the globe.
