The kedia Bandhus-Mormukut and Manoj Kedia, the gifted torch bearers of the Senia Maihar Gharana(School) are a frequently mentioned name in the contemporary Indian Classical Music scenario. Their consumerate technical expertise and spontaneous aesthetic sparkle have enabled them to spread wings and soar the heights of creative splendour.
The elder Mormukut and the younger Manoj were inspired by their father, Pandit Sanbhu Dayal kedia, a nationally acclaimed Tabla maestro ever since they were tiny tots. They were also musically nurtured by famous maestros like Padmabhibhusan Ustad Ali Akbar Khan Saheb, Padmabhusan Guruma Shrimati Annapurna Devi, Sri S. D. David, Acharya Raja Ram Shukla, Sri Rajnanandi Jee and Pt. Sunil Mukheejee.
They posses the dignity of performing in various places of the country with the maestros like Pandit Kishan Maharaj, Ustad Zakir Hussain Khan, Pt. Samta Prasad, Pt. Swapan Chowdhury and many others. They are also honoured by Jadu Bhatta Awards and many prestigious awards throughout.
