Sangeet Piyasi is an organisation built on the ideals of Guru Krishna Kumar Ganguly (Natu Babu) whose objective was to promote and propagate rich heritage of Indian Classical Music by organising muscical conferences, teaching students and introducing young, talented artist before the listeners.

Born in 1985 in the house of his illustrious father, Pandit Anindo Chatterjee in Kolkata, India, Anubrata was nurtured to be a tabla player. Anubrata had the rare fortune of being the youngest and last "Ganda-bandh" disciple of the great Guru Padmabhusan-Deshikottam Jnan Prakash Ghosh in 1992. Later on for illness, Guruji advised Anubrata to continue under the tutelage of his "most successful" disciple who is none other than Anubrata's father, Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, the world-class artiste of Indian Classical music. At his very first public performance, he accompanied Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia along with his father, Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. Since then, Anubrata has played many tabla duets with his father and has also played many solo concerts in many of India's major cities including, Mumbai, Pune, Bhubaneshwar, Dharwad, Hyderabad, Varanasi etc. He has also accompanied great maestroes like Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, and others, in many of India's most celebrated music conferences including The Doverlane Music Conference, The Mumbai Festival, The ITC Sangeet Sammelan, Sankatmochan Sangeet Samaroh etc.Anubrata's performance is marked by his Farukkhabad style, his crisp tonal quality, and his presentation of rare compositions with extreme clarity.
